Burning Dreams

I still hear thy unspoken words

Weaving memories seems futile

Who took away our moments of bliss

No where to go, loneliness creeps

Pain magnifies in intensity

The promise repeated to my self

To keep smiling to the world ahead

The eyes remain mute to my burning heart

Memories of past revived

Quivering lips remembering those words of love

They lie as a secret buried in my heart

The cause unknown and effect unseen

Partner in life and death no more

Close yet so far from reach

The gaze still follows you tonight

Eyes pinched by the broken glasses of past

The pain nowhere seen in your eyes

Sad yet happy, an emotional turmoil

I left behind your world

But still it hawks my existence,

Churning the pieces of broken heart

Stabbed with promises in past

Your unspoken words

My unheard heart beat

Your betrayal

And yet my heart dreams

Those very futile dreams.

HANDS

Some hands become treaties
that seal the fate of two nations
or the course of a river.
Some become weapons
against the creativity of a questioning child.
Some become fly swatters
during a summer political gathering.
The same become applause
at the end of a speech
and also a beggar's shame
at the traffic signal.
Hands, become starved deserts
and hands become goblets
that feed a parched soul.
A few become inkwells
that hold a pen all their lives.
Dancers to the music of words
lollipops, thermometers
gavels, sound amplifiers,
tools for teenage pleasure.
Amazement in a poetry night,
respect in the battlefield,
prayer in a temple,
followed by an offering,
and a blessing.
But, what is it,
pasted on all those hands?
Is it the weight of our destiny, or
merely depth of poetry
of Gods?

The Virtual Reality

The picture haunts, the laughter dies
Her smile just there, now crosses miles
Her sparkling eyes, now sparkle more
Pearls drop, they scatter, his laughter roars
Reflexes strong, she battles her foe
A lost war, her instincts show
Yet she tries, yet she fights
Bruised, torn by the mighty blow
Blinded, confused she gropes for her pride
She would no longer become her fiancĂ©’s bride
Her future bleak
Her strength weak, rationality playing hide and seek
Fear, anguish haunt her mind
In life, no solace she can find
She dares to lose, one more time, this time however with a smile
Her soul from body does depart
While her soul in heaven gets caught, her mutilated body is left to rot….

Tell me

I cry, I laugh
I still don’t know where to start
The moistness of my eyes no one can see
Tell me
How you took away the smile of me eyes
Tell me
Why without you I fail to rise

I pray, I hate
I hope to end the miseries
You left me alone with the moon and the stars
Tell me
How could you betray my love so pure
Tell me
Why is it a disease with no cure

I care, I love
I look around for my lost destination
I wish to hold your hand again
Tell me
How should I forget that charming face
Tell me
Why am I still living in this pointless chase

I know, I learn
I searched for the start
When you gave me the end
Tell me
How to live without you
Tell my
Why this is the price I pay for love true?

Within Me

I see, i hear,
I feel, i care,
Lost i look for the answers i fear
Afraid of falling i fail to rise
Afraid of losing i fail to start

I look around for a reason to live
To inspire myself to hope again
To live my life the kings size
With a hope that this enlightenment never dies

A toddler falls but attempts to walk again
A flower lives within the thorns and complains of no pain
The sun lights our day without any fail
The frail still wishes to live with the face so pale

I learn, i try
Thy inspiration and efforts question me why
The child in me makes me rise
The weakness of the frail makes me wise
The scent of the crushed flower inspires my love
To give my loved ones all I have
To forgive those who hurt my love
They inspire me to smile when i have nothing to give
They inspire me to fall and rise again to live.

PS Word Limit 168

I was afraid i couldn’t come up with something. But now i realise that we can actually be inspired by very small things that we encounter in our daily life. And still some of us like me say that we lack inspiration. I think the creator above was very wise when he made our nature. Every element on the earth teaches us. It’s us foolhardy people who don’t learn. I hope we all are inspired so that we can be satisfied with our lives and live happily.

Misty Memories

The days are long and the nights endless
I sit by the fire and think of you
I think of the days that swept with time
When it was little less I
And little more we.

You held my hand and talked of love
And I thought it would last till eternity
I look at the sky and searched for the moon
Who witnessed the deep bonding of our love
But today even he is hidden amongst the clouds
He too like you left me alone in the crowd

The waves washed away your steps
But my heart still bears their imprint
The touch of the wind reminds me of you
The reminder of your breath which felt so secure

Yes, the time has flown past me
The time that was marked with your love and my laughter
The love has gone and so have you
So tonight when I sit by the fire and think of you
I set you free from the memories of my heart
I grant you freedom the sky that once sheltered our love
I release you from the moon that once bound our love.

P.S. Thanks to leo for the title....I couldn't get one....

The Darkness of Eyes...

I tried to look inside my eyes,
And what I saw was a frightful sight,
They appeared as if they were dead,
Every emotion as tear had been shed...

There had been a long wait for love,
To fill those eyes with a peaceful dove,
But the wait I think had never ended,
And the black beauty was left unattended...

The emotion were as dry as a desert,
Wandering here and there, looking for their shepherd,
They lost the war that was never meant to be fought
Hopes and desires will never cross their paths...

People always saw a cheerful dose,
As if comparing thorns to the rose,
The eyes were pinched by the broken glasses of the past,
I wish the pain could be kept behind the bars...

That day they swore never to love again,
Life had driven them completely insane,
Though not blind, it became all dark,
All that was left were the lonely marks...

Tweety...

She came to lounge, quite alone,
She had with her, a broken bone,
She is Shweta, a friend and a sweety,
She became the lounge’s darling tweety.

With her poems, she did inspire,
With broken bone also, she did not tire,
Wish that soon, she feels a lot better,
From me her friend, this poetic letter.

With her poems, let she make us smile,
Let she get better with words, all the while,
For sure she will be, never alone in pain,
She’s got many a pal here, to make her laugh again.

P.S. Guys i was dedicated this poem by a darling friend in the lounge...and i thankyou for this dear....any guesses who was this??? I await your answer.

The legacy of Broken Bones....

Keeping in view the recent events I was compiled to write this. Excuse me if you don’t like it.

There are 206 bones in our body. These are the framework that supports our body and something that I am trying to please from time immemorial.

1. It started two years back. I still remember, October 2006. It was 2:40 pm. I was in getting late for my coaching class. I should have been there at 2:30. Come on, move fast Shweta, u lazy bum. I was running on the stairs and that’s when it happened. Doom. I fell. Round and round I fell from the stairs. Oh!! Shit!! WTF. I tried to balance myself and wanted to get up and run back the stairs for the class. I couldn’t get up. Dam!! With hell of an effort i got up and went back to my class. I was yelled at by my botany teacher. Shweta, why are you late??? Before i could give my painful story. I was asked to take my seat. I reached home at 7. And till then my right leg was all swollen up. My dad was out of station for his conference. So it was a catastrophe at home. Mom panicked. We went to the hospital. Got my X-Ray and luckily no fracture. It was just a tissue injury. Mom took a breath of relief. I was given the ankle support and medicines to get the inflammation down. It would take 6 weeks to heal. November went and i welcomed Dec with the ankle support. I also attended my aunt’s house warming ceremony where my leg became the constant worry for many. Finally it was over and I could walk without the support. Yiiiipeeeee....

2. So I was all ready to welcome 2007. Tatas 2006 and welcome 2007. But nooo. It was not a happy new year for me. The morning of 31st December 2006, how can I ever forget it? I was reading Veronika decides to die by Polo Coelho in the washroom (a fact even my parents don’t know, they will kill me). My feet got numb while I was reading the book. When I got up, I lost balance and fell. I heard a “tuck” sound. No of course, not it was not the sound of the bone. But it was my misconception. By the time i came out from the washroom my left leg(last time it was right), was all blue green and swollen up. I shouted for dad, and he confirmed my fears. I went to the hospital and it was diagnosed as a crack in the 5th metatarsal. Can u imagine a plaster on New Year’s Eve? So I had a plaster on which was not the walking plaster. I hopped onto the car and then even at home. I felt sick at heart and the worst worry I had plaster on for three weeks and I had my sister marriage coming up. Oh dam i had so many suits to wear and my brand new lehnga. And to my dismay it wasn’t just 3 weeks, it became total of 9 weeks. Ha, i welcomed new year with the plaster, the marriage was in the plaster. My sister was furious with me. And guess what guys, everyone was amazed at di’s marriage that i had hurt myself again. I again was the hot talk after my aunt’s house warming ceremony. After 9 weeks, that is till March the plaster was off and my foot was well again. But like it is said “Coming events cast their shadows before”.

3. I was being noticed at school that too for wrong reasons. It happened again. I fell from my school bus and in order to save my head I hurt my left hand. But it was just a sprain according to me and my dad. I tied the crepe bandage and thought the work was done. But dad got my X-Ray and it was found to be a crack in the ulna. So not a plaster but still a hi-fi medical gadget was armed on my hand to support it. This time i became the talk in my school, Ah she keeps hurting herself na. My friends started taking extra care of me. I was pampered and I liked that fact but....can’t put that feeling into words. This happened in April ending, and my hand was fine by June beginning.

4. So everything was fine by September and i thought finally my stars are all in right position but no my bones were not ready to be friendly with me. One fine day, during our coaching break, all we 10 girls were getting bored. And I, remember I came up with this idea – Lets play unch nich ka papdha downstairs. Can u bet every one agreed?? We 12th class girls, 17yrs old want to play this game. We played and while running from one corner to another i twisted my leg. And everyone cried and shouted, Oh Shweta not again....but alas this time it was again my right leg. I called up dad and he had nothing to say to me. He was just too used to it. It was just like a daily work, getting a plaster up and working with it for another 6 weeks. I finished my class and went to the hospital to get my plaster. I even became choosy, i asked for a better colour for the plaster that would go with my school uniform. You must be thinking she is mad. But i was so frustrated with myself that i din’t know what to do. This was a way to take out my frustration. I became famous in school. The school guard knew us as the fracture wallas, my teachers use to advice me to walk in an iron case, i was miss broken bones, miss softy, people did not know my name but knew as the one who gets hurt very frequently. I laughed at all these comments. So I turned 17 with a plaster, my b’day card from school just asked me to keep intact. The plaster was off till November and my leg was fine again.

5. My 12th class board exams were over and luckily all my limbs were in place. My mother took extra-effort to take care of my lovely bones. And my bones actually listened to my mother unlike me. So till April first week everything was fine but the calamity stuck again. My CBSE medical prelims exam result was out and my friend called me to tell me that the result has come. I was excited and I ran to mom dad’s room to tell them about it. Then i ran back to my room to switch on the computer. While coming back i twisted and i fell again. Oh God!!! Not again. But yes yet again. I couldn’t get up and this was the first time i cried not because it hurt but because i was frustrated for not been able to see my own result. I dragged myself to the room somehow and saw the resulted. I had cleared the prelims and it was a good score too. But alas, my leg hurt. it was again my right leg. It swollen and blue green. Ha mom was frustrated to that extent that she didn’t even talk to me. I was taken to the hospital and this time i got a green plaster. It was not a good green, I would have preferred black. Nevertheless , another broken bone and another 6 weeks. I went to Banglore in my plaster as i had my entrance exam there. I attended another marriage of my brother’s. And people were yet again shocked to see me in plaster after an year from di’s marriage. How should i have told them that this one is right and that one was left. I still remember the date, it was 11th May 2008 when this plaster got off and since then till 3 days before everything has been fine. My limbs were friendly with me. They didn’t break at all.

One of my friends wrote this poem on my birthday card during that time and i would love to share it with you guys. But make sure you read it in continuation

S – Sweet and
H – Happening girl
W – Who fractured her bones, was not so
E – Elegant when she walked
T – Time and again she proves her mastery over
A – Apocalyptic activities!!

W – When an,
A – Angel asked her
T – Tensed, if she was ok
T – To that she replied, “Oh! Yeah!
A – Aaj right tha, kal
L - Left wala hoga!!!”

Lolzzz...i guess for that moment it was an apt poem....
Just 3 days back i again sprained my left arm and I have another plaster on and the legacy continues.....

Can love be arranged???

Once when the weather was all about rains,
And love was all we thought when we switched on our mains…
That same question came to our mind,
Does love always have to be blind?
Can love be arranged?
But why did it seem so strange…

Yes was the answer we heard,
When the experiences our parents shared…
We knew love is a spectacle,
Yet about an arranged one we were skeptical…

For love stories were like singing & romancing in the rains,
All about winning over the opposing villainous brains…
But our parents were to be proved right,
As we got the good news in the night,
The minds & our eyes shining bright,
Our plans began to fly as high as a kite,
Though unable to see the couple which was still out of sight…

The days kept passing,
And so the excitement kept rising,
Along with the endless future planning,
For we kept eyeing,
The day we would click the new couple & the whole family together smiling…

Finally our dreams had a sunrise,
A big surprise…
Against the tide,
The couple had arrived…
They looked so in love,
Like a pair of white dove,
The understanding immense,
Though sometimes with a lot of dignified silence…

As was proved a fact,
That opposite attract,
The guy full of jokes and chatter,
And the gal full of mind over matter,
The guy so kid dish at times,
But the gal so mature to grow him up all the time…

To the almighty we pray,
Night and day,
That they stay,
Happy together,
No matter how the weather,
So that many years later,
When the children of theirs,
Question us the very same,
We would be able to take their name,
Love that god gave birth,
Yet it was arranged
And blossomed
On this very earth…

A new morning...

Every morning is a new sunrise,
I bid goodbye to the moon and his stars,
The flowers are shining and the sun is bright,
The children are ready to fly their kites...

A new day, A new life,
I bid goodbye to all the lies,
That haunted me throughout the night,
There is nothing more peaceful than the new morning light...

The birds are singing,
My life is blossoming,
Love is in the air they say,
I flower the entry and pave its way,
I welcome love with open arms,
It is the rising morning charm...

The day is ending,
The sun is setting,
The orange rays leave with another hope,
Of rising tomorrow with another day,
With moist eyes in the night I lay,
For a new morning and a new day,
To shun my sorrows and light my way....

P.S. I am tooo bad at happy poems. So tell me if you guys don't like it.

Why...

Why do I call for you?
When I know you aren't there,
Why do I wait for you?
When I know you aren't coming back,
Why do I love you?
When all you make me do is cry...

All you left me were the broken ties,
No longer does the smile reach my eyes,
I assure myself that I am fine,
But why is there always an incomplete line?

Darkness grips me like never before,
Afraid of drowning I look for my shore,
They said, Love was a rose with just some thorns,
But then why did I see death before it was born

Why can't I forget you?
When all you said was lies,
Why is it so hard to let go?
When nothing is left to linger on,
Why do I still care for you?
When I know my worries never bothered you,
Why is it that I still love you???

A Tourist in my own Valley (Travelogue)

15 years down the hot & dusty lanes of Delhi and finally one of my curiosities got fulfilled recently when I coaxed my family to make a visit to my ancestral place even though as a tourist for my sake. Friends I am talking about the crown, the Switzerland of India – Kashmir. Whenever we used to get to any hill station my parents would smile in sarcasm at my appreciation of landscape saying – these are nothing but timid mountains when compared to the place where I was born in. Ever since I heard this I cherished the fantasy & the resolve that one day I shall experience the valley of my dreams.

I had heard about the horrors faced by the Hindu community – ‘Kashmiri Pandits’ during their frozen turbulences of 1990 – the year, Kashmir saw the subversive secessionist elements at their peak trying their worst best to enact ethnic cleansing of the Kashmir province & declare it a part of Pakistan. At random Pandits were marked as police informers (Kafirs) and assassinated in the name of jihad. All Hindus were ‘Indian dogs’ and were accused for not joining the so-called ‘freedom struggle - jihad’. Stones were pelted at their houses in night and many were murdered mercilessly after being chased like rats hiding in bins. When I asked what the state and centre were doing, they told me that Central govt. and Indian people knew nothing about the ground realities. The press did not care, as a minority community would not be a ‘matter of news’ (there was no NDTV then). The state had failed and was under siege of corruption, arson and dishonest politicians who encouraged the seeds of terrorism to sprout by exciting the religious sentiments of people for purpose of votes. The Pandits like frightened Pigeons and a forsaken leaderless community saw wisdom in fleeing the valley to save the lives of their loved ones and start life a fresh with only degrees in their hands in Jammu, Delhi etc. However, Kashmir didn’t become Pakistan yet nature chose misery for Pandits some of whom continue to live in deplorable camps in Jammu still hoping that one day they will return to enjoy the cool breeze under the chinar tree, they once played under, without the fear of gun.

I could see fear writ large on the face of my mother when we descended at the Srinagar airport even after 15 yrs. It became worse as the taxi that came to receive us had a big bearded driver. A pandemonium of silence prevailed since my mother was sure that a terrorist was at the wheels. I felt guilty of coaxing her to come with me for her wounds become vividly fresh again. My parents took a couple of days to feel at ease with themselves and soon the driver became a chummy. That is the time I realised that how much similar both the communities are in their general thought process which foreign forces could very conveniently plunge in to deep mistrust. Frequent statements like “it looks normal just like pre-militancy days, the difference being we are no longer a part of the province but mere tourists” became a common dialogue.

The beauty of Kashmir is something that simply puts u in trans & is difficult to write in words. You need to experience it to appreciate it. Be it the meadows of Gulmarg, the river Liddur of Pahelgam or the glaciers of Sonamarg, it is simply breathtaking. In the city of Srinagar are the ‘Shankracharya Shiva Temple, Mukdum Sahib Muslim shrine and a few km away the ‘Kheer Bhawani Temple’ bearing the evidence of the ‘once secular’ valley. Now I appreciate why no gardens or lakes can impress a Kashmiri & the evidence is here. Once u visit famous Dal Lake and the Mughal gardens of Shalimar, Nishat and Cheshma – Shahi, it renders u spell bound. The air and the water of the valley is such that I can clearly see how my mother’s grandma is still healthy and going strong in her 90’s.

When the time to leave for Delhi came, I strongly felt like sharing my experience with my friends since Kashmir is a hot topic for everyone – else Barkha Dutt or Bhumbro number or WAZWAN would not have been so famous. I know, u know so less about the complexities, the history of terrorism and the beauty of the land which belonged to India ever since the Maharaja acceded & our troops liberated it from the Pakistani Raiders. Many of you would be asking what the real truth is – who the people of Kashmir valley (minus the Pandits now of course) would like to side with? I would answer by saying that the locals there want status quo. Issue of azadi the meaning of which they themselves do not know should keep them in limelight in the world. This would fetch them crores from the Indian govt. and petrodollars from the Islamic world so that they can enjoy the both the two worlds. The indigenous terrorism now has no place. They know that it has hurt them the most as the time has gone by and the euphoria of Azadi long vanished in thin air. Even though the bombs continue to be hurled by the foreign outfits, u will find – it is only the paramilitary forces who are the target, not the tourists or civilians who die only as a collateral damage.

I was not born then but it still sends shivers down my spine when I hear stories from my family members. My brother who was 4 years old at that time is still haunted by his thoughts when he recollects hiding under the seat in our old trusted ambassador when the family was caught in a cross – fire between army and militants. For us the valley shall continue to remain a “TOURIST PLACE”.

Broken Glass

Broken glass is like a shattered heart,
Broken glass is like all the tiny pieces ripped apart...

Broken glass isn't just a broken glass,
It is painful reminders and bad memories...

Broken glass is like once beautiful rose,
Now black, withered, and crushed to dust...

Broken glass is in a million pieces,
Representing the million tears you have shed...

Broken glass is never a beautiful thing,
Broken glass can be pieced back together, like a broken heart,

But, Alas!! it will be forever changed.....

January 14, 2009

Thanks Friend...

You stood by me when I was alone,
When the world shunned me,
You gave me your unconditional love,
Your presence in my life was the beauty of a dove...
You din't think of the tears i gave you,
But were always there to wipe my eyes,
You gave me the courage to strive in dark,
As if it was just a stroll in park...

You became my strength when i was weak,
You said the words I could always depend on,
When I was blind,
You came and opened up my eyes....
Everytime I have fallen down,
You have always been around to lift me up again,
In the journey of life you have been my guiding star,
Today, I can only thank you for coming with me so far....!!!!

P.S. This is in gratitude to Leo's post here

I would also like to thank all my friends who have been with me thick and thin. God Bless You all!!!

Never....

Never say I love you,
If you really don't care...

Never talk about feeling,
If they really aren't there...

Never hold ny hand,
If u gonna break my heart...

Never say you are going to,
If you don't plan to start...

Never look into my eyes,
If all you do is lie...

Never say hi,
If you really mean goodbye...

If you really mean forever,
Then say you will try...

Never say forever,
'Cuz forever makes me cry....

Why Me?????

Every passing moment reminds me of my fear,
The memories have passed with every drop of tear,
I am losing myself with time,
I must have committed a heinous crime.

I asked God what was my fault,
Why is happiness so had to find,
I am still waiting for my answer,
Till then the life is in the tunes of misery dancer.

Love resembles the beauty of life,
But I wonder today if it could ever revive,
The sadness and emptiness that grips me eyes,
Lost in the darkness I lay out my hand,
Hoping that the gloom would shed with some magic wand.

Ahead I find an empty street,
The familiar faces but still an unknown greet,
The turns of life have left me with no hope,
Hope of filling my eyes again with the love as pure as dove,
And while I sit alone and think,
As to why my life changed in just a wink,
Why did it become I from WE,
Thus I ask you again WHY ME....

The Pain of Losing

Nisha had been in love. It was an emotion she could not understand. He taught her the meaning of love. But today, she had yet another emotion, another feeling that she couldn’t understand. It was the feeling of emptiness. Emptiness she had never felt before. Her eyes searched for him. But he was nowhere. He was far away from her. He had left her all alone in this gruesome world. He had been her best friend since childhood, someone with whom she had shared the deepest and the darkest secrets. He had been her support all her way from adolescence to being an adult. In this hollowness, someone called for her. Nisha tried to hear but couldn’t concentrate. Someone shook her but she dint respond. They finally woke her up from the deep sleep of vacuum. The nurse told Nisha “You should call his parents”. Nisha called his home. All she could say was “Raj....Accident....Yashoda Hospital” and she hung up. She couldn’t explain to herself. What the blood hell was going on?? Everything had gone numb. It was as if she was placed in a crowd and yet she was all alone. She didn’t cry. She was just as silent as death. Raj’s parents came rushing into the hospital and were themselves shocked to find the cold, dead – body of their hale and hearty son. It was unbelievable. Their pain was inconsolable. Someone grabbed Nisha back to her home. Who was this person who was taking her away from her love?? But she couldn’t speak. She couldn’t shout. She couldn’t complain. Nisha was forlorn in her thoughts so deeply that she could not comprehend her surroundings. And before she knew was unconscious. After two days Nisha regained her consciousness. And that is when it struck her. She had lost Raj. He had died. That was first time she had tears in her eyes....Tears of desperation.....Tears ‘cuz of the pain of losing him. Her fairy tale was over. It was just yesterday he had proposed her. Their marriage was fixed for two months from now. She couldn’t believe it. Nisha was awestruck by the irony of life. The next day Nisha went to his grave and cried and wailed hoping his tears might melt him and make him come back to her. She waited the whole day for some miracle to occur. She lay besides his grave till her eyes couldn’t pour any more.

After two years, I saw Nisha again at Raj’s grave. I heard her and this is what she had to say -

“I come to your grave every day, to talk to you. People tell me you can’t hear me because you are gone. I just tell them that you might be gone in their eyes but not in mine. You are still in my heart and you always will be. I cry when I think of you but people ask me why? I just tell them how if felt about you and I still love you and that I miss you so much. But they just tell me that there is no point in still loving you ‘cuz you are gone and you will never come back. And I agree with them. You are gone but you will never be forgotten. I promise....
I pray to God to keep you safe so that I can meet you again in the heaven. I try to be happy but I can’t when I know that I won’t be hearing your voice again. I never thought you would ever leave me. I even asked God why, why did he have to take you and hurt me so much. But he never replies. I wish I could see you one last time, so I could say goodbye. I never knew this could have happened....no one did.
Even thinking about you makes me cry. But ma tells me not to cry and think about all the good past memories. But I said I can’t do it without you because I need your smile and feel your touch while we smile together and look at the good memories.
I know you will never give up on me ‘cuz you loved me a lot. And I will also love you till eternity!!!!”

I had tears in my eyes. She kept his favourite red roses on the grave and left. People say she comes here every day. Yes they call her insane. The pain of losing him had driven her insane!!!!

P.S. Inpired from Rashi's "Till death do us apart"

All I ever Wanted

All I ever wanted was to be loved,
Beauty was far away from my mirror,
Darkness was my roomate at night,
My wrinkles express a victory i never won,
And my body reminds me of my exaustion...

The sun wont rise on my deck anymore,
And my empty house brings no memories,
There will be no flowers growing,
My name is covered with shame.

The judges will execute the sentence,
And no lawyer will defend my cause,
My faith left my soul,
My heart is too weak to beat.

All I ever wanted was to have more time,
To fill my soul with hope,
To fight against the enemy in the battle field,
And to see a flower a flower growing on my deck again,
Thats all i ever wanted....
