Mushy Stories

LOL I cant believe I am writing mushy crap but still :P read at ur own risk

Just one of those days I went to visit my friends in Mysore Infosys. Those were the days I lead a dogged life, every other pretty girl I passed by I used to clench my fists over my heart and say “ Oh my God I am in love” but when I saw this girl in campus the next day I was on the verge of swooning. Maybe the summer heat played it’s part too, but I hadn’t seen anyone as cute and pretty for a long time. And I believed that I would never see her again, so I named her truelove.

And so the name stuck. Time went by and I forgot all about her. Months later my friend Navin told me your truelove is in Bangalore. I was happy. Not that I thought about her or wanted to meet her, I just liked the fact that truelove was in town. And this day and that I got small pieces of information about this lady. Like I knew when she was going to buy her laptop and small stuff which Navin passed on to me. And then one pleasant evening me and navin were walking inside the forum mall when he says “Hey Abhri, your truelove is here” and I get all tensed, and I walk jittery behind him towards my truelove. All I manage is a smile maybe. And then days pass and I never really think about truelove again except when she is brought up in some conversation, but in all the conversations she is referred to as truelove and I enjoy the link.
And time flies by and even the word true love is seldom heard. When suddenly Navin calls me to join for a movie, and within days I find myself saving true love’s number and I save it as “truluv” but as we, me and truluv get closer, one day as she is riding with me, my phone rings. I chuck it out and give it to her to see. Just then I realize her name is still stored as truluv, so I hastily type the message myself and from the other day my truluv becomes Karrie.
And as days go by I become good friends with Karrie and slowly but surely the magic of “truluv” fades away. But, personally I believe in the perfect circle. What may seem the beginning to you maybe really the end. And I feel now in the air, the magic and the charm of missing u, I really don’t know what to call you . And so goes this little silly story, which is mostly true. And this is your message in the bottle, that long before I knew you I had a put a name for you. Truluv 

Their story

Posting after a long time, this one is co written by a friend. :) hope you enjoy

The girl’s story

Indeed it was a long night. She was so tired, waited long to sleep, but her mind was wobbly and thoughts were whacking piercingly through her head.

She was worried about her life, about her doings, if she will be punished by GOD, or if GOD will understand that she has a relationship with a name and one which doesn’t have a name. Anyway it doesn’t matter since she has to leave both and accept a completely new being. She is worried about the future, and things happening in the present are also disturbing at the same time. She doesn’t wanna run away and wants to stay with whatever is happening, but realizing that her dream is gonna get over soon, she gets jittery and wants to run away. She knows she has to hurt two lives, she doesn’t like to hurt people. Her heart sinks if she thinks of hurting anyone. But there is no escape this time and she has to take a step. A relationship should have a name, but it exists without a name also. No one understands it, but still it exists, to end of course. These were the thoughts thumping her inner self and making her cry inside and outside.

She was missing her mom, since during her childhood when she used to cry at night, her mom used to hug her and tell her not to cry at night, [crying at night, calls the devil (nightmare), in your sleep]. The more she was crying the more she was missing her mom and her childhood spent with her mom. She wanted her mom to help her escape from everything that is disturbing her. Wish she could seek help from her mom for that night also. Wish she could get a hug from her mom that night also.

She still doesn’t wanna lose the nameless connection, but how will she make sure that he won’t lose his heart when she leaves eternally. She wants to see him contented without her before she actually leaves. The girl is aware of how difficult it is going to be, but she wants to ensure since she has seen him suffering already a lot of times due to other reasons.

The boy has a name, but it’s not evident.

The boy’s story

It was a long night. He was very anxious, worried and sad. He did not know what to think. The girl knew he didn’t want her to go visit her boyfriend. But that sounded so weird. Who was he to meddle in their affairs. He also knew that this time would come, and so he had told a small story to her, and mentioned the perfect circle and things coming to an end. She did not understand then, but she did now. He liked being with her and he liked gazing into her eyes. Most of all he felt at home with her. The feeling he had been missing from a long time. Now, she was feeling guilty about cheating her boyfriend, and she was in pain. He was in pain too, because she was crying and he could not make things right. Because when she misses her Mom at the back of the mind he misses his mom too. He tried to hold and console her. That night he did not sleep. He kept a hand on her head hoping that this connection would somehow put her to sleep, that his touch would mean something to her, because he feared what would happen in the morning. He also felt a bit left out, because his link to her did not have a name. He also felt bad for giving so much hurt to this lovely girl, he also felt bad because suddenly he did not have a name. Who was he and what was he doing there lying down beside her. He let out some tears very carefully, lest the girl wake up. He never cried much, but sometimes it’s better to put some weight down. Then he remembered the good times they shared, the walks and her park bench, the kisses and the hugs. He wished he could hold on to these memories, but he had no name. The night was very hot, sweaty was he but he tried hard to think things straight. The locket around his neck, he had told her he would give that when they parted. He tore it away from his neck and quietly slipped it into her bag. He feared she would never come back, he feared this a lot, and even if he would call her, how would she see him, the man without a name.

The Sweetest Rain Song

The lilting music drifted in and out of his ears. His toes tilted this way and that, his ears twitching towards the speakers. His right hand lightly held the whiskey glass. It was noon, a Saturday noon in Bangalore and he was bored, ate his share and it rained so heavy.

Just 14 minutes ago Riya had called to say that she couldn’t make it to his house due to heavy rain. He got angry, she had come back after a year and he wanted to see her. What has rain got to do with all this. So he drank, in defiance, in pride, in vanity and towards shame. He would send her rude messages, not for once trying to understand that maybe Riya was tired or sick and she did not want to get wet. He started texting profusely.

It was raining even harder in Riya’s part of the city. She popped some crocin tablets to keep the rain off. Her head was heavy and she felt a bit lost. Subdued and exploited was feeling she, all she needed was truth to unveil, the real rain hitting her hard on the face and true love flowing in her veins. She looked beautiful, pure and sensuous even in the dim rainy day.

She boarded the bus to Kormangla. The bus was empty, not many passengers ventured out in a cloudy day such as this. A tall and lean guy sat next to her. He smiled , she returned the smile, a genuine one.

“Going to meet your boyfriend?”

“Actually yes, how did you know?”

“I am wise” he said and grinned.

“ Ok yes, my sweetheart has called me because I was away for an year and he wants to meet me badly”

“ your sweetheart realizes that you maybe running a temperature and it gets worse?”

He got down.

“if you need to go back I can drop you”

She laughed and said “Get Lost!”

He smiled, his thin face washed with genuineness.

Mr.Sweetheart opens the door. Eyes flushed , sweat trickling from his forehead. Turns his back and stumbles to his armchair.

She stood still, eyes bloodshot with temperature, fists clenched, face taught without expression.

“Waiting..so long?”

All she remembered was the radiant smile of the stranger. She strode to the windows the rain water washed her face, he did grumble only to be kicked in his loins.

The Thief

Anil opened the little parcel he had taken from the store. I use ‘taken’ instead of ‘stolen’ because I mean to. His small town had not seen much turbulence but the recent ruling party had encroached on their land for benefits. As a result, protests, police, lathi charges had become common. This was the time when parents asked their children to stay inside from imminent danger. To venture out only when town would be calm again.

For Anil, the world was different, and without parents. He would definitely not miss the violent hours of the day. The lesser privileged had started indulging in looting and destroying shops also. Anil would quietly stand behind the shops and pick up something from here and there. Learning to live on his own his collection of items had grown systematically.

He looked around with sparkling eyes. On his left was a toaster, which was brand new. He had trouble lifting the big square box to his shelter. He did not know why it had a window. But the pictures on it seemed like food. He had many flower vases, crockery, glasses. It would appear to be a shop, his shelter.

Today’s prize was peculiar though. It was small but the wrapping is what caught his eyes. He did not want to open it or spoil the beauty, he just stared at it.

Just then his door blew open.

“You thief you steal from us! That gift you hold now was for my daughter”

“I am not a thief, I am small and I collect from what is already plundered.”

“You maybe small but you are a devil, look at this place, Oh my God even I don’t own a microwave oven”

He slapped him but the boy didn’t shake.

“You don’t have micro because you don’t have the brains to get one. ”

He grew red. “You little rascal I do not steal like you do”

He slapped him again.

The boy sat upright, his hands in tension.

“Even a dozen other people who actually loot the place, do you have the balls to hit them? And I know why you have come here. To take the stuff I took from the market. And all this drama you are doing is to subdue your own conscience. You are more lowly than a thief because you steal from the small and the weak. You don’t even have the guts to steal first hand. You are a parasite”
He returned to his normal colour. He had not expected such a rebuttal from this small kid.
Suddenly a small girl came running. “Papa thanks for the gift”

The man stared shocked. He was accusing the small boy of something which he had not done.

The time had come and the boy had gone
What remained was nothing much
Little fragments of memory
Battered childhood territory

puffing coughing
rolling smoking
keeps you running
but never winning

big talks for a great day
joints take away
the bright new sunshine

sleeping, fatigue
never really awake
never really writing
just staring, staring nowhere

awake tired
listless distressed
melanchony
disturbia name it all

it gives u many
slimy shady
little miss mary
dark nights

pretty sights, try your might
ladies, girls
women, alcohol
turn round and round

dancing singing
playing never really
never really thinking
life is just going

one day that day
it all ends this day
what do you do
nothing nothing to say

there goes a weekend
wake up
sit tight
buck up
good thoughts don't stay for long..

The Gray Day (Part 2)

On the request of some friends I had to present the spicy part

Strangely that day at office I was a bit excited. I hardly could concentrate on any stuff. Few times I reminded myself all that happened was that my neighbor called me to watch a video and have dinner together. But yes, the location of my house, no one but us, rainy and chilly day, it was a bit sensual. Ok it was sensual enough to get me worked up. And I don’t even want to mention what I was getting all day at office.

I reached around 7 30. I was a bit early, awaiting eagerly my neighbor’s call. Waiting I don’t like and specially when you are waiting for a female who wants to give u dinner on a gray day and God knows what colour of night. I almost dozed off when her voice rang outside the door.

“Hey sorry dearie was a bit caught up with work”

Wow, dearie, she loves me already.

“Not a problem I reached a minute ago too” I lied.

“Let’s get something to eat from outside only, I am tired”- she stated.

“Yes we need all the energy we can save”- I blurted out.

“What??”

“I mean it’s a err umm joke for planet conservation or stuff..just sounded cool..hehe”

“You are funny dearie”

“Really? Hehe”

“Don’t stand grinning there like a girl and go get something to eat, I’ll change by that time”

I strutted off. Got some stuff from the nearest food point and came straight back.

“Wow! You are fast”

“I don’t like to waste any time”- I grinned.

I could see some red on her cheeks.

“Hey did you get my blanket”

“No dearie we just have to share mine”

Things were now really looking great. I waited for the movie to start. We were watching London Dreams. Not suitable at all for the occasion though. It was cozy laying there under the same blanket, I started to inch my way towards her. Almost half way through the movie our bodies finally touched.
She turned her gaze towards me. I looked down.

Suddenly I felt my head pulled by the hair. She made it straight for my lips. I was struck by lightening, everything was happening so fast. Here I was beside her wanting to touch her and now she was passionately kissing me all over.

“will the medicine shop be open now dearie? “

Medicine shops-protection- yes they must be its just 10 in the night. My head started buzzing. I nodded few times and went out to look for rubber.

I crossed Vijay and Sudarshan medical store but both of them had a large sign hung saying “Condoms out of stock”. Even stranger, I crossed four more shops with the same sign. How is this possible, food can wait but not sex. I sped towards the main road. There were so many medicine shops that my head started to whirl. And each one of them said “Out of stock”

“Hey watch the road!!”

Bad idea standing in the middle of the road.

Damn, was I in the hospital..things finally came into focus. The doorbell kept ringing. I had fallen from my bed. I had hurt my head a bit. I opened the door. There she stood smiling at me.

“Sorry I was caught up with something”

Some days are really confusing I tell you.

“Ya”- I murmered.

“will the medicine shops be open now dearie?”

I stood there, mouth gaping open.

“I guess you can find a bandage in Pooja stores below also. Go fix your head while I change. And stop falling from your bed. I hear you every other morning. Silly”- she giggled and went inside.

The Gray Day

It was the gray day today. So chilly when I got up. Sound of rain splattering outside. It took me 30 minutes to roll out of bed. Too much rum was affecting me I guess. Thoughts of a bath made me shiver. I needed to buy a blanket soon. Bangalore was unnervingly changing. I lit my cigarette , the last one I saved for the morning.

Ring Ring. Did not expect anyone in the morning.

It was my neighbor. She looked 4-5 years older to me, a little on the stout side. I blinked at her. She was in a good mood today. She never talked to me so I suppose she was in a good mood today.

“I made breakfast for you”

My head was all heavy and I smiled weakly.

“I might get late for office you know”

“Even I need to go… so just come over and have something”

She made good breakfast and she was smiling all the time.

“Are you very happy today?” I asked.

“ya”

“Hmm, good to share the joy”- I commented.

When I finished eating, she took my plate and smiled again at me.

“If you don’t mind, we can have dinner together and watch a video. I am really in the cooking mood today”- she said.

“Ummm”

“It’s ok if you have something else”

“Do you have an extra blanket?”- I asked.

She was obviously surprised. “Yes I do”- she said anyway.

“Oh nice, it’s just gets chilly so I asked. Sounds, good. Been a long time, since I curled up, in the cold, inside one. See you”

Study of a lonely night

Rajiv had always been surrounded by people. In school his brother, in college more brothers. When he started working he was with friends too. Living in a huge house with many people. Although secretly Rajiv desired some privacy. He fantasized all the things he would do if he lived alone. How he would decorate his own little place, how he would host his very own parties. He imagined a lot of things but he forgot one major difference. Parties and get-togethers would not be daily. In fact they would be scarce. And his major time would be spent alone.

This was his first night alone at his new home. Indeed a great party just ended. Dancing, alcohol, music the place boomed with energy. Today it was very quiet. He sat down on the double bed and looked at the little lounge he had made. A pretty cute space, with cushions, a bar counter (small table, very small) and his new speakers. They stared back at him with mockery. As if daring him to use them all alone. He shifted again on bed. Scratched his beard. This was too silent. He flipped open his laptop and turned on the volume knob. Music filled the room.
He shifted again and made himself comfortable on the floor with the cushions. He went closer to the only speaking things in his room, the speakers. He shifted on the floor and then wondered if the bed would have been more comfortable. Called a few people. The weirdness did not go, but it was fading away. Alcohol maybe the savior. Who knew?

No sleep, he took out his guitar and started playing on top of the music. Did virtual solos which did not look that bad with the music already playing. He headbanged his way through the last peg. Finally Rajiv was exhausted. He packed the guitar, turned off the speakers and without a second thought switched off the lights.

For Love's Sake

He almost finished the note. “So I end my life, I love you so much but I can never get you. I cannot live with this pain, because it’s either you or death. This is my reason, no one is responsible not even you” He placed the note at her feet, her body lay blue.

Destiny's chit

Ramu stared at his question paper. Twenty questions still blank. He scratched his head and looked at Neha. Got the mean glance. Uttered something under his breath, he didn’t see Mr.Biswas, cry of protest, Neha sobs, Ramu still stares at the question paper. Confusion, the wind, God? Who cared when the answers were before him.

Little Boy never Grew Up

little boy grew up
he is a little strange
he is a little weird.
he looks around and people think he stares

little boy had it easy
he thought life would have plenty.
but he didnt grow up all dandy.
his head blew up like a balloon

little boy runs not fast
some pretty sums he does
he has a beard now and some whiskey
but when he talks
you couldn't help yourself

you would say
that he hasn't grown enough
you would say what a retard he was
but this is what I found that day
a note on little boy's jeans

that says
"
I always feared to grow up
in a world full of shitheads
when they would discover the value
of my huge brain

they would use me mistreat me
sell me and wring me
and make money
so I devised a plan

and it worked out so well
make them think that I am dumb
easiest way to fool them I say
let them laugh and let them jeer

bcos I laugh at them everyday
every minute
I specially laugh at some over
sympathetic clowns
who say

"It's not his fault, such mental retardation
happens to few"

I just hold my laughter
very hard to I would saY
who would tell those
clowns that even if they got an
ounce of my grey cells

They would be doing something in life I say
But ignorance is bliss
better unsaid and unheard.
I am happy that they let me be in peace

It will happen one day
when I figure out what Im going to do next
leave them here
with mouths wide open
and soar towards the open sky.

Little boy will screw them as a man
big men important people
all down to the ground
helpless unmovable, such are their fate
vanity and arrogance it's all their doing "

How the service providers earn money

"Are you free?"

"I always am"

"I just asked"

"Good you did"

"well let's stop this"

"Stop what!?"

"These meaningless conversations, let's just be clear about where we stand"

"Ya we stand nowhere, you want me to propose to you once again?"

"No I didn't mean that I mean we should not talk everyday, we don't have anything going on right!"

"Ok we will talk once in a week"

"You will only call me ONCE IN A WEEK?"

"See, so just shut up and don't try to change things."

"Are you angry?"

"would it make a difference to you?"

"Maybe it would"

"Maybe it won't"

"Why do you always look on the negative side?"

"I was made this way"

.............
.............
.............
.................

the conversation goes on for one hour. The service providers are the only persons who are happy and content in the end. :)

Cradle of life

“The cradle of life lingers on. The cradle of life is full of lust. It’s full of glory and so full to the top. The cradle of life gets poured from within. Songs sung and heroes dead, the cradle of life lingers on. Death, rust and filth. The cradle of life don’t spare at all. Little fingers raised in the air, the cradle of life takes the middle ones in. Confusion, corruption, molestation the cradle of life devours it all. Fun, gaiety, anxiety and reform, nothing is spared from the cradle of life.”

“This is a restaurant or a god damned phsyco filling station.?”- Ramy

“It looked good from the outside”-Rina

“Even you look good from the outside”- Ramy grinned.

She punched him on his tummy.
“But what’s all that gyan in the menu, we just came to eat ya”- Rina.

“The guy said we would get it by dessert”- pointed Ramy.

They had a sumptuous meal, Ramy didn’t like dessert, but loved to look at Rina with mouthfuls of dessert.

“What should we have?”- Rina chanted.

“Hmm, let’s see what they have got”- Ramy.

“Tarts?”

“Naa”

This that no naa. They spent about 5 minutes to get to the bottom of the page.

“The world is falling down but we don’t stop eating, it all goes in to the cradle of life. So eat good while you are still in.”-serving you for 15 years- CRADLE OF LIFE

The long life

Heat, profound fucking heat. Sweat, greasy sweat. Clinging on, like some gum. It can make you puke. The real you. Hidden somewhere in the grand fortress created. Looking for something. For something more than just life. But things are dim. Chances are low. Very damn low. Head is heavy too. Too fucking heavy.

I don’t have a big head like you think you have. I have those mid shaped ones with limited intelligence. But I have the gift. The gift to entertain. The gift to set a party to life. The gift to be loved but not really loved at all.
Yes I have a nice body. The kind of body any middle aged man would envy. But things are dim and I am tired. I am hired and I am tired. Every other person is hired but to be hired like this is too bad. Not many words to describe how I feel. People say let the money come and then you move away. But my regulars keep paying more. And with the money their looks degrade. Sometimes I need drugs to keep me going. Someone truly said they are never satisfied.

It’s all dim. I am writing my suicide note and I can’t get any more than two fucking lines. Isn’t that pathetic, or is that great? Told you I had a medium sized brain with limited intelligence.
So here goes.

“I a call boy or whatever you call my kind of men and I am damn tired so I might as well die
Bye”

The perfect date

writing here after a long time so I hope this sounds good. :)

His long nose could not hide the sad eyes. He fumbled with his mobile and finally threw it on the couch.

"What's the matter? You had the ideal date today. something went wrong?"

"It was perfect man, I have asked less gorgeous girls for dinner but they just say hey maybe next time, this and that. This girl just says 'why not' I loved her spontaneity."

"Then why are you disturbed?"

"It was a great evening. we talked about so many things. Then it started raining"

"So she complained about getting wet and did some tantrums??"

"No she loved getting wet. And what a sight she made all drenched. I can swoon even now"

"Are you like a manic depressed soul. All this is happy."

"I know but she showed something while leaving"

His voice trailed off..

I waited for him to finish off. God this guy loved climax in everyday conversations too. I was getting late for my party.

"How can she show a great big pic of her and some guy standing huddled and ask me to guess who the guy was?"- He sounded hurt.

"Oh..."- I started.

"Let me finish here please."-he interrupted.
"'That would be your brother'I asked and I looked into her eyes for signs of agreement"

"So it was her boyfriend"- I thought the story was complete.

"I guess I will always be single"- he smiled.

I am not into hugging people that much, but somehow that day I gave him a big sloppy hug. Things would be ok, that's all the consolation I had to offer.

Unfinished drink

The wind was strong and he hurtled pass the sidewalks. He had to reach fast. His first and last sanctuary. Thank God it was near to his house. On the way he saw happy people, couples huddled in the cold, why don’t these guys get a drink he thought wistfully. His head was drowsy in thoughts. At the age of 27 he was quite successful. Made his bucks and saved his ass. Yes, he was smart in making money, and equally inept in the matters of the heart. Fear not, a mushy love story does not follow but a depiction of gross error of judgment.
The street lights flickered. A few stray dogs trotted ahead of him. The dimly lit bar came to view. It invited him with a foul demeanor. It was warm inside. The place always looked bigger from inside. He always sat at the corner directly facing the bartender. The bartender was gross. His scruffy face looked like an ex-convict. He had hair growing out of his nose. His lips were parched and black. His eyes almost lost in the sockets. A few strands of hair tucked safely behind the ears. And his trademark yellow Hawaii shirt. He always wore that on a Friday. An ugly man’s smile is sweeter than that of an Adonis’s.
“How was the week Sir?”- asked Ramu.
“Same as usual, how’s your daughter?”-Mr.
“She is better”- Ramu smiled.
He always started with whiskey. That helped his tongue get bitter. He tried the special prawns with it. This was heaven. The place had started to get sparser. Night proceeded without any fight. There were normally some fights. But he was always alone so he could be a innocent looker by.
The bar grew dimmer. He went into his thoughts. He played every scene frame by frame. The way it had happened that day was a movie playing before his eyes. He could at last be himself and enjoy the life of a freaking retard. That’s what he called himself lovingly.
Ramu sat beside him .
“Aapke chere pe kuch likha hai, kahaani bataayiye na”- Ramu pleaded.
Ramu loved his stories. He took a sip of his own Mc Dowell’s and looked across to the last hours of Chandna Bar.
“Ramu what do I do best”- Mr. asked
“You sell yourself well”- Ramu answered. This part of the story was common to all Friday nights. So Ramu knew the answers very well.
“Ok, so today we are selling a product which helps people choose appropriate places to build houses”- Mr.
“Ok, so land prices and locations Saheb?” –Ramu grinned.
“My Ramu, you should work with me”- Mr. grinned.
“Ok, so I was selling this to some real estate agency.”- Mr.
“So?”- Ramu.
“So nothing”- Mr. said.
“The story didn’t end sir”- Ramu revolted.
“You will see the rest”- Mr.
Ramu didn’t ask any more questions and went on to cleaning the tables.
It was difficult to gulp down the remaining whiskey. He was feeling nauseated. Then he opened his notebook and started writing.
“I have started taking notes too late. The bar is about to close. Today I couldn’t even tell Ramu a decent story. I think the time has come when I won’t get any more ideas. I won’t get any real ideas to write my story. The filth is consumed by the filth. The rich consumed by the poor and poor devoured by the rich. There’s no difference now between Ramu and me. There was no difference before too, but now it’s apparent. I give up everyone I have done my part. I have showed the treachery there is to this day prevalent in the major parts of the city. The frame that irks me most is why the real estate smiled in that defunct way when I signed in my product to him. He could not know where I get my ideas. How did he know that my product was dangerously infamous? Stop stop it stops just now. No more procrastination, no more fears. I do good business. I can’t care about heartbreaks.”
Loud banging noises echoed in the nearly dark bar. One bullet caught ramu in the chest, one took Mr. in the head. The only picture left for the morning newspaper was the unfinished drink, left unattended, left strong.
Famous writer dies of gunshot over family feud
Mr. Jayweer Biswas died of a single bullet injury to his head. He finally the case against his brothers of disputed property. His two greatest works.. TheLand of the Fathers and Brother’s share a Room, both loosely and tightly involving his life long fight for his paternal property in North Kolkata finally ends in what can be described as a tragic ending. His high profile in the literary world had always showered much animosity over his younger brothers. They could not win a case and this man earned millions writing about it. This shows his versatility and ingenuity. But finally someone ended it today. Ironically in his last book he mentioned about the end being futile as the beginning. Though this seems vague, it makes sense now. His last work the unfinished drink spoke about greed as a never ending peg of whiskey. And today the pictures on the front page of the daily show to us that legendary writer has punched a message to all warring families fighting over disputed lands. He is survived by no one, but the interesting fact is that his father wrote in his will that in the event of demise of my youngest son before any of his brothers my whole property will be donated to the Missionaries Of Charity Kolkata.

a man becomes

lit cigarrete high brows curls in his hairslimy nose sweaty face and a look forlorn

can't get up can't sit down, his ass hurts

not for reasons you think yay it's coz he fell from a tree

what was young jim doing on a tree

didn't every thrill kill a man before he was a man

and when does a man become a man

is it age or just sanctuary

is it wisdom or mere selfishness

a man becomes a man says jim

when he falls down from a tree and hurts his ass

a man becomes a man jim says

when his heart breaks no more

when he sits beside the woman on bed

and quietly puffs his marijuana cigarrette

a man becomes a man jim says

when his fingers move caressing ova

never too deep and never to dip

and his smile is as nonchalant as it comes

a man becomes a man jim says

when his days are outnumbered you see

when he is lost you see

down can't get up and can't sit down

a man becomes a man jim says

when he hurts his ass dumb you see

Glory in the making ... contd

Continued from Glory In Making...

I hope Artz does not mind my stealing a para from her work, Just to keep the continuity. :)

Glory does not last long. Dreams shatter and we get hit hard on the face. Kriti was a good girl but it was difficult when the old lady passed away. Her distant relatives threw Kriti to square one. Abondoned her and there she lay again where she was before. All this happened years back. There was a difference this time. Kriti was stronger.

Her cell phone rang.

"Hi I am Ajay, i wanted to meet you today"

"Me too"

"I'll pick you up from Chandni Chowk near Babu's sweet shop, that's ok right?"

"On the way to your home can we stop at the lake near Keshav colony, I need five minutes"

"Yes , I have heard about your ritual, no problem as I hear that makes you even better"

She cut the phone. And started getting ready for the discourse.

It was routine now, the dress, the makeup , the drill. She looked at the mirror. It was ok now she would forget the rest.

"The wind started to blow and the dark clouds made way for the moon to appear. She raised her head to see the moon beaming and smiling at her. She remained perplexed for the next few minutes, unsure of what these signals meant."

"Hurry up will you"- Ajay called from inside the car.

She got ready for the drill. She had to kill her soul again. The needle was her friend. In the misty moonlight cocaine shot up through her veins like frenzy. She jerked to keep standing and took two deep breaths. She took one last look at the moon, was it smiling in sarcasm? she gave a fuck! Her face stern now and then the everlasting smile of the moon found her face. So reachable yet never even close to reality, the mystics of the moon and now Kriti herself. Seen and loved by all but seldom ever touched. Kriti turned still hazy and walked towards the car. Her hair shining in the moonlit night.

The good people

“what does that picture look like, it’s pretty though.”
“Maybe if the girl turns around it would be scary”
“You and your weird jokes”
“Maybe I am even wrong about the sex , hehe”
“You are the king of weird, maybe the person who made it must meet you, give all views and angles to his work”
“Nah! It’s pretty as it is, maybe some things should be the way they are”
“Like us, we will always be just friends?”
“What’s wrong in that?”
“There’s nothing wrong it’s just that with age things should mature too, like a relationship”
“Ok, I’ll read out fountainhead to you instead of champak while making love”
“That’s all you think about”
“But I am good at it, hehe”
“You and your stupid hehe”
“hehe”
