An eMail from a Mother

Dear Son,

Its disheartening to see you struggling  at your new place.I understand that it is important for you to shape your career and you left home for your job.We completely  appreciate your decision. We never stopped you but we were happy that you become responsible. You don't know how much we miss you and we are proud of you. Everytime we talk to you I hear discomfort in your voice. You tried not to break but you broke. You cried cause of your own plight and you were distressed too.

Its quite saddening to see your sufferings.I just don't want you to be shattered. As you know ,life is full of opportunities. It is full of lessons and every decision that we make and every things that we do does teaches us a great lesson. It is this lesson that we take ahead in life.It is all about learning ,moving ahead and never looking back.I want you to be strong and I don't want my sweety to be feeble and low.It is not your nemesis but its just a bad phase in your life. Why don't you realize this? . When you left us you sought blessings from me and your daddy. Perhaps you never saw your dad's face at that moment. It was filled with pride and you won't know how happy he was for you. You never realized how much your sister Priyanka misses you. Priyu would everytime ask me about your vacations and when would you come back.Son, I understand your importance at your work place. But I want you to concentrate on your health too.Without a proper health ,you won't be able to concentrate on your work and your life would become unstable.

You might be missing the Sunday Brunches at our home. Those special dishes which I used to make for you.You were the only reason why I made such delicious food. But today ,I almost cried when you told me that you  never had breakfasts since the day you left home.Is work that important to you?.Money is secondary .Spend money on everything that you need.Eat anything that you like.Your daddy never knows that you are struggling there. If he comes to know this then he would  come to take you back. Priyanka has passed her board exams with flying colors and she loved the Fastrack watch that you send her on her birthday. You never knew how excited she was.She would show her watch to everyone like crazy that her brother had send this watch for her all the way from California. You are the only reason why we all are here .Today is Mothers day.Last year you took us out and  It was a joyous moment for me being a mother.I still remember that day when you and Priu both gifted me a Kanchivaram Saree. That May was the best moment of my life.May is full of surprises to our family. Our Anniversary May17th is the day when you would never forget. It is going to be our 25th wedding anniversary this year and we all would be missing you this time .You would remember that day even in your faintest memory and I am damn sure about this.I'm proud to be your mother because you never cease to make us happy.Come back soon. We all love you. Health first and then rest.We all love you.I'm not strong son and I would break into tears on Skype video call. This is the reason why I;m writing this email to  you. Hope to see you soon.

Love ,
Maa

The Perfect Being

Pre-Script :One of my friend updated the following status on his fb :
When Apples were 3 and we were 4 ...my mom said "I don't like apples"
..and to torture you all..it reminded me of my following poem which i wrote when i was 14 (and edited when i was 16)..It's kiddish but the closest thing to my heart i would have ever written..Enjoy!

When I was four :
A heartily smiling face,
Looking down on me,
Swinging me with full pace,
Grabbing me with both hands,

The only one,
To be happy
When i passed step one

--She is my mother
The first memory of her.

When I was ten :

Tightly, steadily holding papers,
Asking a familiar face,
To fill them up,
Standing worried in a new school,

The only one
Though literally illiterate
Getting my admission done

--She is my Mother
One of the faintest memory of her

When I was thirteen :

Trying to console me,
Standing beside my bed,
Arranging the pills and syrup,
Moving fingers through my hair,

The only one
Greatly afraid
Still making me stand operation

--She is my mother
The most heartwarming memory of her

When i was fourteen :

Making me rest in her lap,
Encouraging me with most zealous words,
Unknown with Boards,
But preparing me for the trial,

The only one
Mysteriously filled
With moral information

--She is my mother
The most lovely memory of her
.

When i am sixteen :

Ready for the most wisest advice,
Ready for the most warmest lap,
Ready for the most genuine care,
Ready for the friend in need,

Ready for the only one
I know will be with me
Always, at any situation

--She is my mother
The perfect idol on earth
.

Post-Script :
Isn't it simply amazing how your mother understand your world better than you....even when you refuse to admit that.. :)

Her Anger

She was angry that day.

I arranged flowers and a hand written note for her. I placed them in kitchen.

I was sitting and suddenly she planted a kiss on my cheek.

"I love you too son", she said passing the note to Papa.

"Happy Mothers' Day Mom, Love you", Papa read it.

Anger vanished.

P.S. - Happy Mothers' Day to all the mothers of the world. Our world is with you.

Love You Mom

In the darkness of your womb
I was safe though I was numb

Came to the world naked & crying
I know with pain you were dying

Still you kept the smile on your face
Because I was fine with God's grace

The moment you held me first time
I was relieved and stopped crying

The first things I did were special to you
First smile or word uttered or a walk too

The nick names you gave me I still remember
Though with some of them I didn't resemble

Whenever I got sick you didn't sleep
I know you care with your heart deep

Sometimes I made you angry and fought
But each time I got a lesson taught

Your blessings are all what I treasure
You don't even show off your gesture

I pray to God that on my part I never cheat
And bring all the happiness under your feet

I love you so very much my Mom
Without you, our house is not home

Truly said that God can't be everywhere
So He sent the mother to take care

My lil' gurl!

I cannot forget the pride in my heart and the tears of joy in my eyes as I bade her goodbye at the airport that day. My daughter, now a 25-year-old young lady, was going away to another city on an internship for two months. There was my independent, confident, assertive daughter waving at me from the escalator as she got ready to board the plane. She was embarking upon a journey to prove her mettle and make a mark. I patted myself for having done a fine job of bringing her up. She was just like I’d wanted her to be; probably, everything that I was never, and much more. She had learnt to fly... I’d given her wings. She was now ready to fly away... fend for herself, build her own nest, have her own family. My little girl had grown up.

The next moment, she was gone. It was time for me to go back to the car for the drive back home. I wanted to make sure if she was okay in the lounge. I contemplated calling her, but decided otherwise. She’d manage. I should let her go now, I said to myself. My legs ached... I was growing old. I smiled to myself. And suddenly, a sense of emptiness engulfed me. I walked with a heavy heart, holding back my tears, back to where the car had been parked. Just when my cell-phone buzzed... a message! I frowned. The last thing I’d wanted was someone from work messaging me at that moment. Reluctantly, I took out my cell-phone from my bag and looked at it. It was from my daughter.

“Hi ma! M waiting 4 my flight n havin our favourite Latte at the airport lounge. Missin u already ma! Thanx for always being there! I’ll b back soon! Tc n keep smiling! Luv ya! Ur lil’ gurl!

I smiled. She’d always be my little girl, won’t she? I burst out into tears, but there was a smile on my face! Yes, she indeed was my little girl...

PS: Back to the Lounge after a long hiatus! :)

For You, Mom...

My first friend you were,
The best friend I have got,
In every best moment you've been,
Since I was but a tiny tot.

My first word "Ma"
Tears of joy it did bring,
But every word after that,
I know you were smiling.

Holding my little finger,
Through the low and great,
Helped me walk my way through,
When I had an unsure gait.

You waited for me,
Arms open wide,
Not holding my finger,
Being proud of my stride

In my every success and joy,
You were always a part,
You could make me smile
Whenever I had a broken heart

You held me ever tight,
So that I could brave my fears,
You kept me close,
When I got few tears

You watched me get back up,
From every single defeat,
You pushed me on every time,
Expectations I failed to meet,

Without you Mom, I am no one,
You are a star, every day I meet,
You are the reason I exist,
Without you Mom, I am incomplete.

Though I don't wait for a day,
To tell you how special you are,
I'd hug you tight and tell you,
You are my guiding star!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOMS OUT THERE!
YOU ARE THE BEST, EVERY ONE OF YOU.

To MY PERFECT LADY...!!!

Her life changed from that day
when i came in her way
she had to bear all the pain
to help me live to my aim

she slept empty stomach
to me have my meal
she never wished to see my steps aback
so she bore all the wounds that never heal

she wanted my dreams to fly
wished that i reach world's high
she strived to make me healthy & tough
she worked all the way but never felt enough

she prayed God when I had an exam
she lay awake all night when i was ill
she was happy when winner was i am
she was always there at anyplace to fill

she is my heart, she is my soul
whom i cant miss even for a foul
she has shown life's every color
and she is my loving sweet MOTHER...!!!

She Is My Mother!

She suffered ten months to bring me out to this world..

She taught me how to talk, walk, eat, behave..

She was the one I was completely depended on..

She has always wished good for me..

She never sleeps when I am not feeling well...

She laughs When I laugh, She Cries When I cry..

She is the Light of My Life.. She is the one who is making My Life Bright.

She Is My Mother, My Beloved One.

"Oh God! Please take care of my mother like how she took care of me when I was young!"

Now, You want me to be a mother soon..

But, I am Not sure if I will be as a loving mother as you..

And I wish Your prayers shall be answered soon!

P.S. I MISS YOU MOMMY!
