Who is that?

It was late at night. I was as usual awake. I wasn't restless today. I would be soon. But till then, I shall be ok! I went upto the Lounge. Maybe there will be some who are unsuspecting, today. I haven't been there in a long time. There is a weird feeling there. One I haven't felt often. The last I experienced it was when I was having dinner at that family's house. It was a nice dinner.

Suddenly, my eyes see a story. Somehow, I'm drawn to it. I wonder why. I read on. Each word describes me. I wonder how this place understood me. My life. My Modus Operandi. I looked on. Read and re-read. I wondered who this person was. One of my kind? Not possible! There isnt a person like me for miles here. I know it. I have lived here for centuries. I would have known. I would have recognised the familiar, faint smell of my fellows. Here, I can smell only human blood. The one I cant resist. I can smell love here. That which I cant stand.

I felt drawn to this person. The person who could read my mind. Who had described an event in my life which happens almost everytime I'm thirsty. Who is that person? I have to find out. They are next on my radar.

I find her. I'm perched on her window. Watch her sleeping.

(Ps: Am I unclear in this post? I'm sorry for my inactivity especially while commenting. Blogger is blocked at the hospital. But I do read thanks to google reader. But, I'm so beat when I get home. The computer is last thing I want. So I'm really sorry! I do read you.)

Barista

Posting on behalf of Cho...

A true story.... :) Finally found time to actually pen it down... :)

It had been 6 months of chatting and finally I was going to meet her. We had seen each other on the webcam but this was first time I would see her lips move while she spoke to me. I would hear her voice and seen her animate gestures. We had planned to meet at 4.30 at a Barista. She called me up at 3 o'clock and said she was just confirming the time and place. I remember thinking silently that it was very sweet of her to do so.

Then I got ready. Not too much of cologne. She had once said to me that she hated strong smells, even fragrances. I chuckled to myself. I felt like a teenager. Thats what she made me feel. Made me forget the worries of work, the family issues. Everything. She made me laugh. Yet she was the one who I would talk to if there was a problem.

I was in London when we first started chatting. Then 2 months later, the exchange of phone numbers happened. I still remember the first day I heard her voice. I had called her when she was in college. She couldnt control her excitement but had to keep her voice low.

Then, the 26th Nov attacks happened. I knew her college was in the same area. Though, it was late at night when the attacks happened, I couldnt help feeling like my stomach has sunk into a bottomless pit. I kept calling her. After nearly 3 hrs, I got through. It was 2am there and she was weeping. Just the magnitude of it had hit her. Her child-like heart made me melt.

Now, I was finally going to meet her. All these memories of our firsts came into my mind. Today, there would be another first. The first time I would see her face to face.

My phone rang. It was her message. It read " Sorry.. Driving down. Car broke down.. On my way. 15 mins..pakka. Mwah! "

Somehow that message too had a ring of her voice. Her crazy style. Another message, "Parking..On my way.. Heart beating fast."

I smiled.

I then saw her.....

I wish!

First of all, I'm really sorry that I'm so irregular in posting here. Supposedly some hospitals think doctors have no life. Well, I certainly don't have one anymore! :) I try to read whenever I can but writing has become a distant memory now a days! But my Princess made me write this today! Thank you for not having deleted me yet :D

I see her look up,
Her question- filled
brown big eyes, Lips:
Smile pursed.

I see her look away,
Unable to face me.
The wishes that
Are never to be.

I watch stealing glances
Hoping for this to end
A way for her
Broken heart to mend

I wish silently for
things never said,
Just those that
I will always dread.

I wish you were mine
As you want to be
I wish I was the one
To set you free.

I wish that every dream
Ever wish come true
That you never ever
Feel so blue.

I wish I could whisk you away
To a world of just our own
Where it is just us and
everything unknown.

Dear, you aren't wrong to wish
That I would be in your life
But you must realise that
I'm a man with a wife!

I don't appreciate cheating in any form especially when it comes to cheating a loved one! But I read the poem by Rashi and was thinking what would be the guy's perspective. He has a wife at home whom he is sure he loves. But looking at the love in a girl's eyes and her wishful thinking, I bet he would wish thinking were different. Sometimes there is just this attraction that one can't deny, I guess!!

Her!

"Everything in life tells you a story," she said looking up from her coffee,"you just have to find it, search for it."

"Why is everything a philosophy? Can't you let somethings go?" I retort back.

"Then what would be the point of it happening?" That smug look on her face I could only see faintly.

It was 3am. And we were sitting on her terrace talking. This had become a feature. She was 6 yrs younger to me and yet sometimes she seemed so much older and wiser. We used to sit like this whenever her exams came near. She would study sipping coffee, books in her hand and I would study or just look at her. She would be terrified of exams and still is. It was her economics paper tomorrow and it was the most nerve wrecking one. But my favorite for 2 reasons. One, I had majored in it and two, the way she bit her lips everytime she was thinking was just so adorable.

A few minutes back, I had let it slip that I was on a verge of a breakup and she reacted in her typical way and with her hands on her hips demanded why wasn't she "informed" before.

She was so different from the girls all around. Everyone was in a hurry to get ahead. Me too. But her. She was like the still waters of a lake. Well ok she was a waterfall. Full of activity but the kind that puts your mind at ease. She was mature and yet so child-like. Her mind boggled me. It challenged me and yet made me feel so comfortable. I never had to think what is she thinking. She always told me.

No, I didnt love her nor do I now! It is just one of those relationships you cant explain. Now, when I see her change into what I always feared. I fear for her. Please don't change.

This is my first post here. I have heard amazing things about this place! I'm not much of a writer just love to express myself. So rather than reading, feel my posts :)
