After witnessing the first decade of the most wondrous millennium that has radically changed the entire structure of human relationships, we now move on towards a new page in the book of our lives – Twenty10.
Life goes on, as it always did. As a Mumbaikar, I sometimes find myself stuck in traffic, sometimes in rain and other times in riots and blasts. And to a more personal level the tyranny of fate always puts me in a situation where I have to choose between the ‘right’ and the ‘truth’. We live, with hope in our hearts; a hope for a better tomorrow. And the tomorrow which we hope so much for, never comes. We mess up today because of the shadows of our yesterday and the fears of our tomorrow. And then all of a sudden we realise that we are just out of time. Let us promise ourselves that for all the coming years we shall live our life with focus on our present. As rightly quoted, Life is not measured by the number of times you breathe but by the number of times your breath is taken away. Live, share, love and touch the hearts of everyone you meet. Fly in the expanse of the blue sky and let your wings feel the cool air. Set yourselves free.
With this first post of mine in the Writers Lounge, I hope to connect with all you great minds and share a few of my scribbled posts. Wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.
