From Divine to Preposterous

She wore a smile
I, though could only give a simper
Ignoring me completely from there
She disappeared in a whimper

In her beauty I had succumbed
She will be mine, I was sure
I had completely gone numb
Wanted to feel a little secure

And then it did happen
We came together, finally
Everything shined, gradually
As our fingers intertwined
Nothing ever felt more divine

But then it all fell apart
She lay on the ground in shambles
Like a bad dream it was
Why did I take her love as a gamble?

I am blank and lost now
Almost feel like a morbid
Why did I have to do this?
It now feels so stupid.

Whenever a girl passes by with a smile
I tend to get a little cautious
For you never quite know
When it might suddenly turn preposterous.

Thanxs Kajal...You rock as always :)
