The Best Friend

Once there was a very rich businessman. He visited the temple and prayed there everyday. He carried on with this schedule for 20 years after which he died.

By chance his servant also passed away the same day. Both reached the doors of God's place at the same time. The rich man saw God coming to the gate bare-footed. He was happy and thought,"I was a true follower of God. So he will welcome me personally." But to his surprise, God welcomed the servant and did not even look at the rich man. Then God ordered his soldiers to take them both to heaven.

A little upset, the rich man went up to God and said,"I used to go to temple daily and worship you. I have not committed any sin. Do you agree with me?"

"Yes, I do," God replied. "That's why I am sending you to heaven."

The rich man continued,"But I never saw my servant praying. So why the grand welcome for him?"

God replied,"I agree that you prayed for long hours. But you always took me as a 'giver' and 'defender'. You looked upon me as a supreme power that lives in temple. I fulfilled all your expectations and always stood besides you. Your servant never went to any temple and never prayed. But he thought that I was always with him and used to share everything with me. Like, whenever any guest came to your house, he would say,'Oh God, now I'll have to make another cup of tea.' In this way, he became my best friend. A best friend is the one who shares each and every thought and feeling with you. That's why I gave him Sudama welcome."

Thus we need to take a lesson for this story. The businessman gave God the respect and prayed to Him daily. But the servant endeared himself to God with his whole-hearted acceptance of God's presence every moment in his life. God values true relationships and such friends are always welcome into his abode.

P.S. - This story was published in a newspaper 3-4 years back. The cutting is still available with me. Just thought to share it with all of you.

YOU KNOW, I love the history of religion and the idea

of 'Hell' got me mind thinking!

I bet its one big party, with Kegs, Beer, Paneer Tikka,
Gudam Garam, Heavy metal and the likes and I bet
Satan is a really nice guy.

Think about it.

You Sin against "God" and denounce 'Jesus' 'Allah', 'Shankar',
'Ehsaan' 'Loy', 'Hanuman', also you do these terrible things
like raid, pillage, plunder, murder, rape and pilfer your guts
out and so you are sent to Hell !

WHY WOULD SATAN PUNISH you for doing the same thing
he’s tryin to do himself ??

He HATES God, he's at total war with that guy !!
If you end up in hell obviously have done something bad.
Satan will greet you with some beer and say "Man, you are so
cool, helping me out and shit, here's a Heineken, Cheers!"

Hell is one cool place, with pool tables, Spa's, Sauna's and also
Bars that you don't get kicked out from along with all the hot
bitches you can ever think about.
But but you cant be sent to hell until you have decimated your life.
Do deeds now, pay later kinda credit card system. * Sigh *

Where as in Heaven, you can't swear, cant have wicked thoughts,

no sex, you can't do SHIT without pissing off God and rest of the
Holy Moly’s!

Oh, you also don't get tired in hell, Ciggis never run out,

Just want to share an experience,,dunno how u guys will react,,dunno if u ll believe or not.. here i go..

I used to be an atheist, a big full time.Never believed in the word 'GOD'. Always ready to debate in the first place, always ready to prove there s nothing like any supernatural powers.Used to make fun of people when they say * 'God is one'. --But there are like uncountable Godesses, God s a player eh?
*God is everywhere - Then how can It be 'one'..anyways then it might be there in aloo(potato), then you boil God ,mash god, mix it with some other Gods (flour, salt, pepper ,oil etc..) , and eat the samosa (indirecctly god)--  Yummy God!! ahha!! 
Let it be..my list went on.. ( feel sorry for the above statements)
Just to let you people know.. I have asthma..I have had very acute asthma attacks since i dont bother to remember.The sudden frequent attacks would occur anytime anywhere, in school, school bus , home,while sleeping ,while eating.. no timing..It used to be bad though..(m much much better now). As it is said 'everything happens for reason' so proved my story..
It was around 1 am when i woke up coughing..in seconds i was running out of breath..my inhaler never works on me.. in minutes i was in hospital ..oxygen, injections,nebulizers.. no effect..more injections, more nebs more medicines..nothing worked..I couldnt lie down ,trying to hold on to single breath ..Hanging between life and death wished someone kill me or save me..struggling with air for more than an hour .. on spur of moment i was calm ..i was still, in peace like i never had experienced,,
I actually saw that white light..bright so intense yet soothing..I knew what it was.My whole life flashed before my eyes ..from  just before my birth till then..it was just perfect..
doctors said my pulse went into rest for some moments.. did i actually die?? i dunno what pulled me back..m here now.. The intersting thing is i could actually hear my mom reciting some prayers in her mind sitting outside the ICU.
Yess i believe in God..i felt him..i touched Him..i was in Him..HE IS IN ME..
p.s. i kno the reaction tat would come but plz try to control 'WTf!!' :S

CONVERSATION WITH GOD

Comfortably stationed,

On a moment of slumber,

Not realizing the intensity,

Veritable in all forms,

Exhibiting the passionate exchange,

Resulting in calmness,

Stimulating further forms and,

Attributes resulting in,

Transformation of the self,

Informing the soul,

Of a deep knowledge,

Not realizing its harmony.

Which itself was enlightening,

In great measures,

Through the sanctity and,

Harmony witnessed.

Granting peace.

P.S. this is my attempt at Acrostic Poetry after long. I feel i haven't beeen able to do full justice to the title .So i would seek to get genuine comments on this attempt.

Father, Forgive Them, For They Know Not What They Do

In the beginning You made the heavens,
the earth and everything else that is.
Did You know all of it even then,
that we would be nothing but remiss?
You made us in Your image from dirt,
and breathed into us the breath of life.
Did You know then that all we’d do is hurt,
and be with You always at strife?
There was no pain, no tears, no mar,
the world was perfect in every way.
No sin, no crusades, no holy war,
no terror attacks to ruin the day.
There was nothing that we couldn’t do.
You said, just don’t eat from this one tree.
But still we chose to disobey You,
and be slaves rather than to be free.
Why Eve? Adam why?
Why did they rather choose to die?
If only they hadn’t chosen to sin,
how wonderful then this world would’ve been.
And since then it’s been the same,
we’ve always kept our backs on You.
How lowly and dirty we became,
and yet we gave the devil its due.
We slaughter and kill in Your name,
and then we conveniently choose You to blame.
Don’t You ever regret You made man?
That You made us the center of Your plan?
We don’t curse our fathers for our wrong takes.
We don’t blame our mothers for our mistakes.
Aren’t You our Father too?
Then why do we point fingers at You?
All we’ve ever given You is hate,
and yet You tell us that it’s never too late.
You loved us and You died for us,
Why do You waste Your love so precious?
How can You just forgive the things we do,
when pain is all that we’ve given You?
You came to take our sins away,
and yet we crucify You everyday!
On one hand we want to be free,
We say, “God, I don’t want You controlling me!”
We have freewill and when we screw things up,
it’s then that we want You to make it stop.
Oh God when will we understand,
that Your ways are different from that of man?
That the reason you let things go by,
is that like everything else, certain rules apply.
You’ve always given us a choice,
to choose between what’s right and wrong.
And to help us, You became our inner voice,
but we have ignored it all along.
Inside all of us is the Spirit of Jesus,
and there’s also the devil in every one of us.
It’s up to us who we let dominate,
the God of Love or the god of hate.
Death, destruction, terror and war,
What is the world coming to?
Father, forgive them, for,
they know not what they do!
Lord Jesus when will You come?
We're sick and tired of living like a slave.
Look at what Your perfect world has become,

Quit blaming God for everything bad that happens in this world. Face it. We brought this upon ourselves and we are the ones to blame for it, not God. Seeing the state of the world, He is hurting much more than you are right now. Instead, praise Him and thank Him for everything good that's left. My condolences to the victims of the terror attack in Mumbai and prayers for the misguided 'terrorists'. May God have mercy on their souls. I'm sure most if not all of you must be hating these men from the core of your hearts but realize that the same God who made us also made them. All of us are born the same. It is not God who makes us or lets us do such evil things, it is us. Look closely in a mirror, and you'll realize that there is a 'terrorist' in all of us.

"Bonding with God"

From my childhood I was Religious,but I never knew that basic steps of being religious.That Time for me being religious was to go to mandir, stand and fold our hands pray and that finishes the process of being religious.

Then i grew up,i started getting know the real meaning of term being religious i.e was a "Bond With God" a faith,a trust on him.Though I am still not that perfect in all this but somewhere i knew that i had connection with God.I can feel hi presence around me.Today also am not that great devotee of his but than also i had a feeling that after all this God loves me,protects me.

Bonding with God is a very integral part of somebodies life.Its a very deep part of ones life.It can never be expressed in words.As it was once said by my dear friend that feelings for God can never be expressed 100%,its beyond ones thought process.

Today am 20 and nowI have started realizing what is the actual meaning of tuning with God.Though it will take another many years to discover more deeply,to reach on higher levels of God. I feel at this point my bonding with God is just like a 'new born baby'.Its still need to blossom and nurtured more.

I have always believed that living life to its basic rules are decided by God.But we humans till the time we experience them we don't find them worthy,that's what human tendency is.

God teaches us that excessive attachment is injurious to health,but till the time we don't experience it we don't find the teaching worth it.
Similarly God teaches us not to expect much from others,not from anybody,but we are humans,we can't help it,how can we understand things by just meare teachings or just by reading holy book.God is very kind to us,before any mishappening he gave us various signals but we live are lives soo blindly or i should say that we are soo engrossed in external world that we forget about our inner world n then we become soo dumb, deaf n blind that we don't understand his signals,which can save us from big disappointments.
But once you catch that frequency with God you start connecting with his signals,with his teachings,your trust rates tend to rise u start having more faith in his decisions.

If today somebody asks me' Who is God??How would you define him?'Then I'll just say that"God is another human being but the difference is that hes invisible and we humans are visible.Hes supreme power,we are his children and whenever we are in pain,we go to him,talk to him,pray to him,he helps us with his best idea's and his best approach,for what we are deservent and makes us feel composed,better"

Pure mind,innocent mind human beings are also God'd favorite and he is sometimes bias to them,though nobody in today's world is 100% pure but purity here means Good intentions,being forgiving,loving,Caring,n having a true innocent genuine heart.

God is kind to everybody he loves everybody and full fill wishes of everybody but for all this what we give to God??Nothing.How selfish n occupied we are with our worlds that we tend to forget that supreme power behind all are happiness.

This is the high time that we should be less selfish n less involved with the external world n take some time out for God and Thank him for all his blessings,his love,everything.
